This tidbit came not from the Internet, but from my favorite Friday night television show - The Dog Whisperer.
Caesar and Daddy
What your dogs need is:
Exercise, Discipline and Affection - in that order!
Which reminds me of a very funny (to me) South Park episode. I will look for it on youtube -
This next one involves Cartman and please understand that his foul mouth comes into play.
In this one Cartman's temper and foul mouth are even worse - just letting you know.
The whole episode is quite funny - and has some very foul things as well - but that is South Park. What makes it funny is that it is so true. As someone who has worked in the kid biz most of my life and raised three of my own, I must say this episode is so true. We have the type of children we have raised. Children don't develop in a vacuum. I'm just saying.
The next trivia involves Hollywood.
The longest movie ever made is The Cure for Insomnia (1987). It is 85 hours long. Yikes!
The only picture of it that I could find.
The Brothers Karamazov (1958) was William Shatner's Hollywood debut. He played Alexi Karamazov.
Hummm, now some trivia about me. Ah - I know - I have to go back to work in 2 weeks. Boo hoo for me ;-(
Yes, this is me - Doris Day.
Have a great Tuesday, mi compadres. Te quiero.
Why crazy4coens... You look so in charge and divine at the same time! It's that teacher magic at work isn't it?
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks! Too soon.
Loved the Cartman. BTW we call Squeaky Cartman. I have the kid I raised. Spoiled. Very spoiled.
;)
hee hee! I love South Park :-) I used to watch Dog Whisperer a lot, but got kind of burned out. What he does makes sense though.
ReplyDeleteOoh, look at William Shatner there! He was so handsome...and I still sort of picture him like that to this day. There is just more of him to love :-D
Back to work, eh, Doris? It had to happen sometime....
ananda - i love doris day - i sand que sers sers at the top of my lungs back in the day - and i loved her with rock hudson - and i love that she is quietly living her life away with no face work (i imagine - don't know) and that she loves animals. she's my 2nd favorite 60s star after audrey hepburn. contented sigh. congrats on the cartman squeaky. yikes!
ReplyDeletelaura - indeed - back to work had to happen sometime - i hope to juggle work and blogging as well as you do - you are one of my heroes, you know.
i loved the brothers k.
ReplyDeletewhat was dostoevsky telling us by naming the lecherous old man after himself?
billy - i think he thought that mankind, himself included, was evil to the core, but that salvation was available......
ReplyDeleteMy mom's dog gets plenty of exercise and lots of affection. Of course, he knows not to poop in the house, so I guess that counts as discipline. He only weighs 5.5 lbs.
ReplyDeleteAn 85 hour movie? I better have lots of popcorn.
I bet Shatner was a great thespian back in those days. Did he attempt a Russian accent?
I wish I would get back to work soon. Unemployment sucks.
AlienCG - As for your mom's dog - I think you would be suprised at how many dogs do poop in the house (not mine fortunately!). I want a little dog, but no more dogs for me for now.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way I would watch an 85 hour movie! No matter how much popcorn I had.
I have not seen the movie, and I doubt they attempted the accents, and I actually can't see Shatner pulling it off.
I hope you get back to work soon, too. Not many people are happy when they are unemployed. I am so sorry :-(
